Life these days
I have had a few requests in the past couple of monthes to write a blog entry. Where as in the news section I report the more black and white aspects of what is going on and updates in Trey’s life, I save my emotion for my blog. There are a few reasons I haven’t written a blog in a while. One, I haven’t felt the urge. I don’t write unless I feel the urge. Second, I’ve felt more private lately and haven’t wanted to share my inner thoughts with the world. And last but not least, I’ve just wanted to hang out with my kids. Writing emails and web updates and having fundraisers takes me away from my kids. So recently I’ve just been enjoying my kids. I think we as a culture let ourselves get distracted with the unimportant parts of life far too often, and it takes a tragedy to remind us of what is important. So I’ve been off enjoying life, which for me means spending time with my family. Going for walks in the pouring rain and stomping in puddles (Avery and I have matching frog rubber boots. It used to be that Trey and I had matching frog rubber boots, but he outgrew them long ago!)... that kind of thing. When I get an urge, I will write. But until then, I will continue updating the rest of the website.
